Diversity and Inclusion Specialist
**Position Summary:** The Diversity and Inclusion Specialist, based in Reading, PA, is a key member of the programs team. Working closely with the D&I Programs Manager, this role is responsible for supporting the design and administration of enterprise-wide programs and events, processes, projects, and resources. In support of program administration, the D&I Specialist is responsible for research and analysis on best practices, industry standards, and methods for fostering an inclusive workplace. The role is responsible for tracking and reporting on various program focused metrics to ensure alignment with key objectives and support the creation of presentations to tell the story of D&I to gain alignment and commitment. **Major Responsibilities:** • Coordinate program communication launches, create and oversee the application process and work with applicable HR, Operations, and D&I Leadership to create cohorts. • Support the administration and facilitation of programs and events, both virtually and in-person. • Virtually, this will include managing the platform, assisting with technical challenges, monitoring the chat, administering break-out rooms, and monitoring the agenda. • In-person meeting support will include securing meeting/event space, arranging catering, supporting participant travel, and preparing all program and event materials. • Measure and track program data such as participant information, event attendance, survey feedback, and expense management. • Develop strategy and oversee administration of alumni networks across all programs to support ongoing connections and meaningful interactions. • Maintain awareness of trends in workplace inclusion, programming, and technology to stay informed of best practices. • Apply a creative approach to developing engaging presentations and materials. • Work and collaborate with key business partners in operations, learning and development, human resources, and marketing to ensure programs continue to support the needs of the organization. • Other projects assigned by manager. **Qualifications** : • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably related to HR. • 1 year experience working on diversity and inclusion efforts; monitoring and tracking diversity trends; developing metrics; and delivering training and education on diversity and inclusion subject matter highly preferred. • Established project management and organizational skills, and experience in supporting and coordinating multiple initiatives and/or programs, proactively identifying challenges, meeting deadlines, and adapting to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Clear written and verbal communication skills. • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively, work in team environments, and influence across organizational boundaries with minimal supervision. • Proven ability to develop quick recommendations based on insights, data, research, and analysis, to inform strategic decisions in a fast-moving environment. • Working ability to positively model the organization's commitment to integrity; values differences; and able to set the foundation for maintaining a respectful workplace. • Positive attitude and passion for diversity. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced PowerPoint skills required; experience with Smartsheet is preferred. • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required. **Physical Requirements:** • The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
