District Manager - F&B

Are you an experienced Sales Manager with a proven track record in leading and developing sales teams? Would you like to work for a global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services that protect people and vital resources? Ecolab is searching for a District Sales Manager for future opportunities within our F&B Division. In this position you will manage a team of Territory Account Managers, working closely with our customers, many of whom are market leaders in the food, beverage and dairy sectors.


The District Sales Manager will be responsible for delivering the annual business plan, through the leadership, management and development of the local F&B field team. The successful District Sales Manager will be responsible for ensuring that their team deliver against plan, taking ownership for the planning of sales income, gross profit and operating income from F&B activities in their district.


How You’ll Make an Impact:

Take responsibility for the retention of customer accounts

Facilitate the implementation of Good Sales and Service Practice in the team

Take responsibility for the creation and/or implementation of agreed and documented Service Level Commitments (SLC)

Champion effective communication and working relationships within the area team, outward to the wider field team and Corporate Accounts (CA) team

Show leadership in all directions; to your team through clearly delegated shared leadership, to your peers by accepting shared activities and to your manager through active effective followership

Develop the sales team to ensure that they are able to deliver against and exceed sales targets and KPIs

Leading on communication, action, behavior and holding the team accountable for safe working practice, compliance to safety rules and the required reporting

The setting of and holding accountable for; team member’s annual Sales targets and KPIs

The development of key skills and capability in the team in relation to new account gains, account management and service delivery

The implementation of the Ecolab F&B value added offer within newly acquired CA located in the area

Driving the team in added value selling to gain new accounts and to retain and grow existing accounts

Qualifications:

Degree Qualification or equivalent

Excellent written and spoken English and Spanish

6-10 years of experience in Sales

A proven track record in sales delivery, generating new business and account management, along with a strong commercial awareness

Strong leadership skills with experience in leading and developing sales teams

Senior stakeholder management skills

Bachelor of science in Chemistry/ food science; ideally with an MBA in business field 

Account leadership experience that includes working with Food & Beverage multinational companies 

Excellent knowledge of the Food & Beverage Market 

Strong work ethic, autonomy, strategic thinking and ability to multitask
