**Primary Job Function:**
+ Provide sales team with the leadership, direction and resources to ensure sales targets are achieved and to liaise with marketing personnel to ensure short and long-term sales, the sales team applies strategies.
**Core Job Responsibilities:**
+ Achieve Area sales targets.
+ Control Area expense budgets.
+ Provide direction to facilitate goal setting process in line with Corporate and Marketing Department goals; monitor progress; measure results; reward incentive payments; performance appraisals.
+ Select, interview, lure new recruits to the sales team.
+ Provide in-field coaching, follow-up training to support skill-based training and develop subordinates to facilitate succession planning.
+ Conduct sales and cycle meetings to monitor progress; facilitate communication; provide representatives with forum to network; provide training.
+ Control and monitor implementation of sales strategies and tactics and provide feedback and market intelligence to Marketing Department.
+ Maintain contact with key accounts; identify opportunities for corporate marketing and cultivate as appropriate.
+ Effectively communicate with all levels of staff via staff meetings, written communications and one-on-one communication.
+ Interact and work with management/ employees to promote teamwork.
+ Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative requirements, policies and procedures and serve as a role model to all employees by demonstrating full support of Abbott occupational health, safety and environmental programs.
**Education/Qualifications/Experience:**
+ Bachelor Degree in Pharmaceutical Science/Human or Vet Medicine/General Science.
+ For Abbot Employees: Minimum 3 years at Abbott as a Medical Representative with an AE overall achievement (or above) in 2023/2024/2025.
+ For External candidates: Minimum 2 years in a managerial role.
+ Achieving 2025 KPIs, and 2025 sales achievement of 95% (or more).
+ Strong sales record.
+ Computer skills in power point and Excel is **a must** .
+ Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, presentation & selling skills.
+ Good command of English language.
