What You Can Expect
The Distribution Team Leader is responsible for the overall monitoring of the shipments from creation, picking, adding label requirements, packing accordingly and offering to the carrier of the various streams (Export, EMEA, Direct Distribution, etc.) that are conceivable within the GDCH.
This is achieved by creating a positive and challenging work environment for team members and to lead by example in consultation with the Supervisor, the team planning can be finely tuned.
The Distribution team leader delivers the daily business reports to the Distribution Supervisor reports functionally to the Distribution Supervisor.
How You'll Create Impact Provide leadership for all Distribution Team Members within a department on an assigned shift for assigned team members. Responsible for day-today supervision of Team Members. Maintain all time, attendance and disciplinary action records for each direct report in a timely manner. Responsible for overall performance management for hourly Team Members, including preparing and delivering annual performance reviews. Supporting and motivating the warehouse team members. Ensure that health and safety meet the required standard. First point of contact for education and troubleshooting on the work floor. Organizing daily activities on the work floor between available employees. Responsible to reach and report on daily KPI's and escalate if necessary. Onboarding of new Warehouse employees.Leading Continuous Improvement projects or other projects. Ensure that the supporting objectives for the Expedition are performed. (reporting issues, solving issues, presenting information to the team and giving guidance and feedback to team members)Good communication with Global Customer Operations and other internal departments. Setting and adjusting operation priorities. Coordination for day to day work to optimize workload and performance. Oversee team members, ensuring productivity. Effective and efficient use of resources. Planning of team members based on daily workload. Creation of IT helpdesk tickets when required (System issues and process improvements). Escalating issues to peers and/ or the Supervisor. Maintain the highest quality levels even during busy periods. Ensuring IFU and CSL (Country Specific Labeling) are carried out on time and correctly. Collaborate with the Transportation team. Work in accordance with the Quality Manual and the procedures, work instructions in place. Introduction of new processes and manage it in the daily work. Carry out OJT training for new employees when required. 6S integrators - Follow the methods and maintain the 6S culture. Ensure order in your area per 6S standards.
