DESCRIPTION:
As a Business Analyst II at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll contribute to bridging business needs with technology solutions to advance our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze processes, gather requirements, and implement innovative solutions that drive operational efficiency. You will support Distribution, Warehouse and Logistics business functions and associated systems, including Level 2 support for systems like Manhattan WMOS 2010 & 2018, Enterprise E1 ERP System, SAP, BAAN, Precision/TRAX-TMS. In addition, the resource will also support project initiatives involving Logistics Control Tower, Machine Automation, Transportation projects, building Power BI Reports, Network upgrade projects, etc.

Collaborative Engagement

Gather requirements from stakeholders and business users to create different deliverables such as Business Requirement Document (BRDs), Functional Requirement Document (FRDs), System Requirement Specification Document (SRS) by conducting working sessions and workshopsAct as liaison between the business and the technology team to implement software upgrades, document business use cases, conduct user acceptance testing, and design future enhancementsDesign system solutions that meet business requirements and align with IT architecture standardsDevelop detailed design documents, including data models, process flows, and system interfacesPartner with system analysts and architects on technical design and coordinate development work with vendors as well as internal development teams


Support & Maintenance

Delivery and support of incident/break/fix and provide production support as neededOffer continuous support for deployed systems, including identifying problems and devising practical solutionsConduct testing which includes Functional, Regression, User Acceptance and Integration testing to verify the business needs are metCreate complex database queries using SQL querying language, Stored Procedures in MS SQL Server Management Studio, Oracle PL/SQL and maintaining the database SQL scripts for future use of test data and retesting of defectsMonitor system performance and conduct regular maintenance to ensure efficient operation.


Training & Documentation:

Conduct training sessions for end-users and technical staff on new systems and improvementsDevelop training materials, documentation and user guides to facilitate knowledge transfer with team members

Implementation and Rollout:

Lead efforts to detail requirements, build functional and technical designs, and document validation and test casesCoordinate with project managers, business analysts, and technical teams to ensure successful deployment of the templateSupport during the testing, training, and implementation phases


REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree or applicable technical certificationsMinimum 1-2 of experience as Business Analyst in support of systems like on Manhattan WMOS (2010 and 2018), ERP Systems like Enterprise E1, SAP, BAAN1-2 years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL, MS SQL Server Management Studio including stored procedures/trigger development.1-2 years of experience with technologies and processing environments used to support the Pick, Pack, Ship (PPS) process, such as Warehouse Mgmt, Transportation Mgmt, and Order Mgmt systems; experience with QAD Precision/Trax is also preferred.1-2 years of experience working with Integration technologies and systems, such as XML, webMethods, or Oracle Fusion Middleware (OFM).1-2 years of experience with reporting tools, such as IBM Cognos, Power BI1-2 years of experience working with and supporting machine automation systems, such as conveyors, print and apply applicators, in-line weigh scales, and case sealers1-2 years of experience primarily involves on-site and remote troubleshooting, repair, installation, and maintenance of a variety of physical IT equipment - like HP Printers, Zebra Handheld Scanners and Printers, Network Switch /AP Wifi knowledge, etcExcellent requirements gathering and documentation capabilitiesStrong communication and facilitation skills for leading workshops and stakeholder meetingsDemonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical requirementsExperience creating user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteriaProficiency in conducting user acceptance testing (UAT)Ability to work effectively in cross-functional environmentsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesDetail-oriented with excellent organizational skillsKnowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC)Travel may be required (0-25%)
