Job Description
We are seeking motivated individuals with an Engineering degree to join our team as Distribution Engineers and Technicians. These roles focus on Distribution projects and provide opportunities for training under advanced level Distribution Engineers. The position involves performing engineering calculations such as structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, fault currents, and coordination of protective devices. It also includes preparing forestry trimming requests, facilitating permit and Right-of-Way acquisition, developing a Bill of Materials (BOM), and estimating costs. The role involves design development and coordination, with occasional fieldwork required after several months on the job.
ResponsibilitiesPerform engineering calculations including structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, fault currents, and coordination of protective devices.Prepare forestry trimming requests and facilitate permit and Right-of-Way acquisition.Develop a Bill of Materials (BOM) and estimate project costs.Focus primarily on design development and coordination.Engage in occasional fieldwork after several months on the job.Essential SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.Basic understanding of Power Distribution.Additional Skills & QualificationsCompleted ABET 4-year Engineering Degree (no outstanding credits) in Electrical Engineering.Passion and interest in Power Utilities and Distribution.CAD Design Experience (AutoCAD, Revit, Solidworks, MicroStation, Inventor, MATLAB, etc.).Valid Driver's License.Strong teamwork and leadership skills.Work Environment
This is a fully on-site position in Atlanta, GA. The office environment consists of a mix of Designers, Engineers, and Design Technicians supporting distribution projects. It promotes teamwork and involves working in groups on various projects. The setting is open, encouraging collaboration and group work on projects.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.81 - $29.81/hr.
