Job Description
Perform detailed design work including the preparation of drawings, specifications, and estimates for review and approval by the responsible engineer.
ResponsibilitiesPossess thorough knowledge of practices and procedures in areas such as Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control, Protective Relaying, Transmission Design, Substation Design, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Distribution Engineering, Surveying, GIS and Mapping, and CADD.Perform design-related duties with minimal supervision, including preparing manual or computer-assisted design and construction drawings of a complex nature with neatness and minimal errors.Execute design services requiring a full understanding of drawings, specifications, and industry standards.Participate in preparing cost estimates, specifications, evaluations, and requisitions.Assist in preparing engineering calculations.Coordinate equipment deliveries and design development to meet project schedules.Acquire on-site field data to accomplish design or monitor and evaluate equipment performance.Essential SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD and CADD.Experience in distribution design and power distribution.Capability in field data collection and analysis.Drafting skills and power delivery knowledge.Some utility design experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate Degree or equivalent in a technical field preferred.Minimum of 1 year relevant experience required if no degree.Demonstrated leadership and technical capability.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
