We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Distribution Consultant in Morton, IL.

Job Summary:

As a Distribution Consultant in the Parts Policy and Outbound Value Chain team, you will be the primary contact for Transportation-related Policy and Outbound Value Chain activities. You will actively engage with dealers, Transportation, Operations, Dealer Services, IT, and other process partners. You will also lead projects to improve velocity and adjust Transportation-related policies.

What You Will Do:

Applying process improvement tools and assisting with the implementation of efficient and competitive logistics solutions, particularly focused on lead-time to dealers.
Coordinating with operations functions to define critical parameters and develop plans for process control and improvements.Managing freight-related Parts Policies and application of Non-Facing Airfreight waivers.Evaluating logistics processes and workflows, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions for process-related concerns.Managing Salesforce development and maintenance for Policy team.

What You Have (Required Skills):

Business Process Improvement: Knowledge of business process improvement best practices and ability to use methods for identifying, evaluating, introducing and implementing more efficient approaches to performing business related activities.Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.Supply Chain Management - MFG: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for controlling the logistical processes.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills):

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related degreeTechnical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.Experience in TransportationSalesforce experienceExperience with data extraction and analysis tools, such as SAS or SQL

Summary Pay Range:

$126,000.00 - $189,000.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
