Job Summary:
The DC Manager is the leader of our local distribution operations, creating a One Team culture through their direct team, the Distribution Leadership Team, and functional peers to help us achieve success. Servant Leadership and Collaboration are key traits of a successful candidate.
The DC Manager is responsible for shipping and receiving operations, including planning, organizing, and controlling work to maximize productivity on assigned shifts. Prepares schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control flow of goods and regulate warehouse space. Also included in the responsibility is the oversight of the shipping department to ensure they follow the guidelines established by the logistics organization.

Where is the work:
On-Site (5 days) at our Atlanta, GA facility located at 4286 Southmeadow East Parkway; and is considered a safety-sensitive role.
What you will do:
Ensure all operations are performed safely and in accordance with established EHS procedures and policies
Create an effective and efficient team by providing coaching and guidance through collaboration and teamwork
Coordinate activities and assign work according to labor requirements, with an emphasis on driving improvements in operational efficiency
Develop our team to help improve their skills and become future leaders
Oversee the selection process for new candidates that fit our culture and values, and can perform work to support our business goals
Ensure shipping meets customer expectations for quality, on time performance, and accuracy; including documentation in accordance with all trade compliance regulations
Ensure timely unloading, receiving, storage, and delivery of material while maintaining inventory accuracy and protecting product from damage
Be a steward of Lean through BOS, (Business Operating System) execution; recommending improvements to reduce cost and drive productivity while achieving site specific goals
Identify and implement cost reduction measures to drive operational efficiency
Develop, implement, and improve standard work
Manage suppliers and service providers that support receiving, warehousing, and shipping functions
Engage in, and support the strategic planning and problem solving which drives us closer to a world class distribution model. Coordinate and work with other functions within Trane.

What you will bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain/logistics, or other related field
Strong leadership skills, with excellent supervisory skills
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an operations leader role
Distribution/Warehouse Manager or large distribution/warehouse operations experience preferred
Excellent communication skills, (written, oral, and presentation skills), with the ability to communicate effectively to senior leadership, peers, and operations staff
Leadership through influence, coaching, mentoring, and teaching; ability to foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration
Oracle WMS Experience preferred
APICS certification preferred
Possesses a strong customer service orientation and provide dedicated support of internal customer requirements
Has knowledge of computerized integrated information systems (manufacturing, materials management, production planning, procurement and distribution)
Has experience working with Carriers, Freight Forwarders and Vendors
Must be flexible, decisive, and proactive at problem solving
Works well in high pressure, fast-paced environment
Has strong organizational skills, with the ability to work on multiple priorities at once
Proficient at conflict resolution and coaching for improvement
Resourceful, can find solutions to unusual problems and meet customer needs
Must have an excellent understanding of warehouse material flow
Strong analytical & organizational skills, very detail oriented and be good with numbers
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $125,000-$170,000/annually; this role also is eligible for our AIM Bonus/Incentive Plan
