Distribution Center Inventory Control Associate
MRC Global serves the oil and gas industry across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors as well as the chemical and gas distribution market sectors worldwide. **Job Purpose** Overview The Distribution Center Inventory Control Associate increases company profitability by assuring inventory accuracy. This role works effectively in a team environment with warehouse, sales, and supply chain personnel. **Key Duties & Responsibilities** The Role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Complete cycle counts in a timely and accurate manner. + Reconcile inventory discrepancies. + Work with MRC Global purchasing team for authorization to return non-conforming materials. + File defective goods claims with internal MRC Global representatives. + Maintain the IR (irregular goods) inventory report. + Maintain daily inventory reports (Dock to Stock, Procurement Match, etc.) + Monitor returned goods in the warehouse / Regional Distribution Centers (RDC) that have not yet been processed. + Establish working rapport with local management, corporate employees, and other branch personnel using proper phone etiquette and other effective interpersonal skills. + Promote a safe workplace by visibly participating, encouraging and considering safety in every aspect of daily activity. + Assure compliance with company business processes. + Carry out other duties within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the job. **Required Experience** + High school diploma or a general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and work experience that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work. + One (1) year experience in warehouse environment involving parts distribution, receiving and shipping. Skills & Abilities + Strong computer skills with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access, and familiarity with Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. + Knowledge of or ability to learn MRC Global warehouse business processes and software. + Knowledge of operating standard office equipment. + Strong knowledge of MRC Global products. + Knowledge of inventory processes. + Basic math skills. + Good reading skills. **Working Conditions** + Physical activity/exertion is routine. + Able to lift 25-50 pounds overhead. + May be exposed to loud noises. + Able to stand for long periods of time. + Operate heavy machinery/tools (as required). + Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required. + Able to work overtime and weekends. + Able to work in the elements, such as in extreme temperatures (hot/cold). + For position-specific details regarding the physical and mental demands and working conditions, contact Human Resources. + Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals to perform essential functions.
