The Global Time & Attendance team within People Tech is building modern, associate-facing experiences that power time capture, attendance, scheduling, and pay accuracy across regions, roles, and regulatory environments. We are a small, highly skilled team working on complex people systems where correctness, usability, accessibility, and scale matter deeply. As a Distinguished, Software Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader for front-end architecture and implementation, with a strong focus on React Native and React.js. You will help define UI frameworks, patterns, and best practices, rapidly prototype new ideas, and partner closely with product, design, and platform teams to deliver solutions that scale globally. This role blends hands-on development, architectural leadership, and cross-team influence. As a key member of a lean team, you’ll do whatever it takes to deliver outcomes and raise the bar for front-end engineering across People Tech. **What You’ll Do** + Partner with product, design, and business stakeholders to understand associate needs, regulatory constraints, and business goals, translating them into scalable front-end solutions. + Lead the design and implementation of front-end architectures using React Native and React.js, ensuring high performance, accessibility, and maintainability. + Define and document UI frameworks, patterns, and standards that support consistency across global Time & Attendance experiences. + Build and evaluate proofs of concept (POCs) to validate new technologies, patterns, and user experience approaches. + Create and present architectural designs, prototypes, and technical roadmaps to engineering teams and senior stakeholders. + Provide technical leadership and mentorship, setting a high bar for code quality, testing, performance, and operational excellence. + Collaborate closely with backend, platform, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration, scalability, security, and reliability. + Identify technical risks early, anticipate challenges related to scale, localization, and compliance, and propose mitigation strategies. + Stay current with emerging front-end technologies, frameworks, and best practices, evaluating their applicability to People Tech and associate-facing systems. **What You’ll Bring** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred). + Demonstrated experience as a Distinguished Engineer, Principal Engineer, or equivalent, with a strong emphasis on front-end architecture and development. + Deep expertise in React Native and React.js, including performance optimization, state management, and component architecture. + Proven experience building large-scale, consumer- or associate-facing applications used by diverse, global audiences. + Strong understanding of front-end architectural patterns, accessibility standards, and responsive design principles. + Experience collaborating in distributed systems environments and integrating front-end applications with APIs and event-driven backends. + Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into intuitive user experiences. + Exceptional communication skills, capable of influencing both technical and non-technical stakeholders. + Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience guiding teams without formal authority. + Experience working in Agile development environments.
