**Position Summary:**
An opportunity has arisen in the Engineering organisation for an Electronics Engineer (Display & Touchscreen Development) in the Devices team with a minimum of 2-5 years development experience.
We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated and tenacious individual educated to degree level in Electronic Engineering or other related field or equivalent work experience in an Electronic Engineering environment.
The successful applicant will work as part of a highly motivated development team working to design and support development, meeting quality, cost and schedule targets across a range of devices.
The incumbent will be responsible for developing Displays and Touchscreens, working with global suppliers, interaction with cross functional teams, design documentation, regulatory compliance in development and test of electronic circuit and board designs.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Main development responsibilities shall include, but will not be restricted to:
+ Design, develop and document the development of Display and Touchscreen devices.
+ Supporting the wider development team in the design and development of related devices.
+ Working with global suppliers on shared development activity.
+ Supporting hardware unit test, as well as integration and systems testing.
+ Documentation of design, test and debug procedures.
+ Writing specifications and test reports.
+ Coordinate estimates of effort, schedule, and size of developments to the relevant Project Manager.
+ Regular progress reporting on schedule, quality & size of change.
+ Support for existing devices through problem investigation and resolution.
+ Proficiency in PCB Soldering and board debug skills.
+ Collaborating with mechanical engineers to define and verify requirements.
**Required Skills, Experience & Education:**
Basic Qualifications/Experience
+ Honours Degree qualified (Electronics Engineering or related subject)
+ A minimum of 2-5 years experience in device development.
+ Knowledge of Electronics Design.
+ Ability to work coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Working to adhere to and maintain design processes and quality standards.
+ Interfacing with suppliers and cross functional teams.
+ The ability to maintain and support our existing device portfolio.
**Desired Skills and Work Experience:**
+ Knowledge of Display, Panel and Touchscreen technology.
+ A working knowledge of mechanical design and materials science.
+ Development of USB Devices
+ Design for EMC and Safety compliance
+ Experience in Schematic PCB Design, Layout CAD tools, documentation, and development.
