Job Description
The Dispatcher coordinates inbound and outbound service calls, acting as the central communication hub between customers and technicians. This role ensures that service requests are scheduled efficiently, routes are optimized, and customers receive timely, professional support. The Dispatcher maintains accurate service records, monitors job progress, and helps keep daily operations running smoothly in a fast-paced office environment.
ResponsibilitiesAnswer inbound calls with professionalism and a strong customer-first mindset.Serve as the main point of contact between customers and technicians, ensuring clear and timely communication.Schedule and dispatch service calls using efficient routing and prioritization to maximize technician productivity.Create, update, and manage service orders, ensuring information is accurate, complete, and processed on time.Adjust schedules in real time to respond to changing service demands and minimize delays.Resolve scheduling conflicts, customer concerns, and service issues quickly and effectively.Track job progress throughout the day and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and timely completion of work.Maintain accurate records of calls, service orders, and schedules to support reporting and operational needs.Collaborate with operations and leadership to keep service workflows running smoothly and identify process improvements.Make outbound calls as needed to confirm appointments, update customers on technician status, and coordinate with field staff.Use computer, CRM, and scheduling systems to log information, update statuses, and support daily dispatch activities.Essential SkillsExperience in dispatching or customer service, preferably in a service-focused environment.Strong customer service skills with a proven ability to handle inbound and outbound calls professionally.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Customer service and problem-solving abilities with a focus on resolving issues quickly and effectively.Strong multitasking and time management skills to handle multiple calls, schedules, and priorities at once.High attention to detail when entering data, managing schedules, and creating service orders.Proficiency with computer and CRM systems and comfort working with scheduling software.Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.Adaptability and the ability to learn new tools and processes quickly.Team-oriented mindset with a strong focus on collaboration and customer satisfaction.Comfort making outbound calls to customers and technicians.High school diploma or equivalent.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior dispatching or customer service experience in plumbing, HVAC, or electrical services is a plus.Customer service or call center experience is preferred but not required.Strong phone etiquette and professional communication presence.Experience working in a customer service call center environment is beneficial.Familiarity with scheduling software and office tools; experience with ServiceTitan is a plus.Demonstrated ability to stay calm under pressure and use creative problem-solving in fast-paced situations.Customer service oriented mindset with a strong focus on building positive customer relationships.Work Environment
This role is based in an office environment where you will spend most of your time on the phone and working on a computer. You will use CRM systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office tools to manage service calls and maintain records. The work involves handling a steady volume of inbound and outbound calls, coordinating with field technicians, and collaborating with operations and leadership teams in a structured, team-oriented setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kodak, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
