Dispatcher Responsibilities:

Oversee and coordinate bus routes and schedules to ensure on-time performance

Counsel and coach drivers and monitors to maintain safety and efficiency

Manage high-volume phone and radio communication with professionalism

Receive and document driver or scheduling concerns; escalate as needed

Serve as primary communication liaison with contracted customers

Assist with charter reservations, billing, or driver payroll

Provide solutions to pick-up and drop-off challenges quickly and effectively

Support daily operations through back-up driving or clerical duties when required

Complete special projects and assist in supervising day-to-day operations

Dispatcher Qualifications:

3–5 years of related experience preferred

High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge of radio dispatch equipment

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to perform well under time-sensitive deadlines

Previous dispatch, terminal operations, or driver experience a plus

Computer proficiency required

Must meet DOT physical and drug testing requirements (DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not permit the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason)
