Job Description
The Dispatch/Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in ensuring effective communication and service delivery to our clients. This position requires a dedicated individual who can handle customer inquiries, manage pickups, and provide administrative support.
ResponsibilitiesEnter customer pickups from phone calls and emails.Set up out-of-town pickups with carriers and follow up as necessary.Answer customer inquiries via phone calls and emails.Handle customer issues with dispatch and other departments as required.Coordinate orders with terminals and carriers.Perform administrative duties such as PODing orders and imaging documents.Enter payroll and productivity reports.Create and utilize spreadsheet reports daily.Essential SkillsWorking knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel (beginner level).MUST HAVE experience with TruckMate software.At least 1 year of customer service experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in transportation.Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Positive attitude with good problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail.Work Environment
The position is office-based with working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The office has a team of 8 people and is not transit accessible. This role offers room for growth within the company, which values internal promotion and has multiple sister companies.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
