Disney Consumer Products Public Affairs and Communications Intern, Spring 2026
Job Summary:

About the Role

Disney Consumer Products (DCP) is the division of Disney Experiences that brings beloved brands and franchises into the daily lives of families and fans through products – from toys to t-shirts, apps, books, console games, and more – and experiences that can be found around the world. This includes the Disney Store e-commerce platform, Disney Parks, local and international retailers, and Disney Store locations globally.  The business is home to world-class teams of product, licensing, and retail experts, artists and storytellers, and technologists who inspire imaginations around the world.

The DCP Communications Intern will support multiple teams with a wide variety of communications and public affairs efforts.

The intern will report to the Senior Manager, Executive Communications.

This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in Orlando, Florida, from January 2026 through June 2026

What You Will Do

Every day is different, but the responsibilities you can expect to fulfill are:

Create and produce content for external and internal communications vehicles, including the company intranet site, blog posts, and moreDevelop and design graphics and digital content across a variety of mediums, including infographics, short-form videos, presentations, printed signage, and moreSupport planning and day-of needs for employee events, including content capturing, logistics, and moreAssist in media monitoring and analysis to help provide strategic communication recommendations to Public Affairs executivesHelp provide vetting support and risk analysis for various DCP engagements with celebrities, brands, content creators, and othersAssist the Business-to-Business team with updating the DCPs licensee portalHelp develop and maintain an editorial calendarAssist with building media listsSupport DCP's collaboration with Make-A-Wish through the fulfillment of DCP products for wishes and support for eventsAssist with volunteer activities benefiting charitiesResearch to support Corporate Social Responsibility activities

An organized self-starter who is eager to assist in a wide range of projectsDemonstrated knowledge and use of basic graphic/presentation design and video editing softwareExcellent attention to detail with project leadership experienceExperience in Microsoft Office, Keynote, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, iOS operating system, and SmartsheetEvent planning and execution experienceStrong writing and editing skillsProficient in AP style

It Would Also Be Great If You Have/are Familiar With

Strong knowledge of Disney Intellectual Property, including movies and theme parks, television, and streaming services.Previous communications or related experience working for a large, global organizationAn ability to write for various platforms and a love of storytellingA solid understanding of pop culture, retail trends, and the entertainment industryAbility to maintain confidential information

Education

Junior or Senior year preferredPursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
