Summary

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for Dishwasher position with ASM Global/Pinnacle Bank Arena.  The Dishwasher maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes and keeps dish area free of clutter and organized.  Ensures that the dish area is setup properly, including dish machine and sinks, in accordance with ASM’s applicable standards and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Scrape and sort dishes before loading them into a dishwashing machine for cleaningMaintain dishwashing machine and report any mechanical faults to Executive Chef or Sous ChefMonitor dish machine water temperature during sanitized wash cycle and record temperature on logWashes dishes, glassware, pots, pans, flatware and kitchen items using dish machines or by handPlaces clean dishes, utensils and cooking equipment in storage areas after they have air-driedClean work areas including equipment, floors, walls and cooking areasEnsures that all chemicals for dish machine and 3-compartment sink are kept filledKeeps all kitchen wares storage areas clean and orderlyRemove trash from kitchen and transports to dumpster and clean/sanitize all garbage cansAssists with accepting delivery items and storage of such itemsTransfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or using cartsOccasionally assist in kitchen prepMust adhere to the ASM Global’s dress code which includes wearing black pants and non-slip soled closed toe shoes

Education and/or Experience        

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferredMust be at least 18 years of ageFood Handlers Permit Required in accordance with the Lincoln-Lancaster Health Department

Skills and Abilities

Ability to understand and follow directionAbility to work nights, weekends and holidaysAbility to complete required pre-employment food service training, if applicableAbility to work in a teamPositive attitude and neat appearanceEnglish preferred as primary language, but not required

Working Conditions

Will be in contact with chemical cleaning agentsHazards include, but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass, metal cans, scalds and burns, slipping and trippingFrequently immerses hands in water; works frequently in a hot and damp environment

Physical Demands

Ability to stand and walk for entire length of shiftAbility to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 60 pounds and place items on high and low shelvesFrequently required to reach up to 6-7 feet, twist at waist, bending and squattingPushing and pulling occasionally, to move equipment, mops and brooms

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
