Position Summary

We are seeking a high-impact, forward-thinking medical professional to join our team as a Disease Area Specialist (DAS) in Immunology. This is a strategic hybrid role that blends deep scientific expertise with field-based leadership, playing a critical role in shaping our launch readiness and medical excellence across dermatology, rheumatology, and gastroenterology.

The ideal candidate is a recognized expert with a strong existing network in the immunology community, capable of driving scientific engagement, influencing clinical practice, and translating global strategies into impactful local execution. This role is central to our Global-to-Local (G2L) framework and will be instrumental in preparing for major product launches in a highly competitive landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Scientific Leadership & Thought Leader EngagementBuild and sustain trusted, peer-level relationships with national Thought Leaders across immunology specialties.Serve as the go-to scientific expert for external stakeholders, delivering high-quality, balanced scientific exchange.Lead strategic insight gathering to inform clinical development, launch planning, and brand strategy.Represent the company at key scientific forums, societies, and advisory boards.

Launch Excellence & Strategic Medical PlanningLead local medical strategy development and execution for upcoming launches.Translate field insights into actionable recommendations for cross-functional teams.Design and implement evidence-based medical education and communication initiatives.Support market access through HEOR data presentation and payer engagement.

Evidence Generation & Clinical DevelopmentDrive local evidence generation aligned with strategic priorities.Provide expert input on feasibility, and investigator selection.Strong Scientific engagement with the investigators on ongoing and future global clinical studies.Ensure scientific rigor and compliance in all research and data dissemination activities.

Cross-Functional CollaborationRepresent medical in brand team and acts as the internal immunology expert, supporting commercial, regulatory, and access teams.Provide scientific training and mentorship to internal stakeholders and field medical colleagues.Ensure alignment of medical and commercial strategies through active participation in brand planning.Collaborate with global medical brand leads and market medical leads to align with global strategies, provide feedback and obtain support on local needs.

Customer-Focused Medical InitiativesDevelop and lead high-impact medical programs and symposia.Engage with academic centers and decision-makers to identify care gaps and solutions.Facilitate research collaborations and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Education & ExperienceAdvanced degree (MD, PharmD, or PhD) with a strong background in immunology is highly preferred.5+ years in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry.Proven success in field medical roles and product launches.Established network with Thought Leaders in dermatology, rheumatology, and/or gastroenterology is highly preferred.

Core CompetenciesStrategic agility across multiple therapeutic areas.Deep understanding of clinical development, trial design, and HEOR.Strong scientific communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Demonstrated business acumen and ability to align medical strategy with business goals.Fluent in Korean and English.

Travel Requirements

50–60% domestic travel for thought leader engagement and field activities.

On-site Protocol

BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility.
