We are looking for an experienced Director of Technical and External Reporting to lead critical financial initiatives within our organization. Based in Glendale, Wisconsin, this role involves managing complex accounting processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving improvements in reporting accuracy. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical expertise and leadership skills to collaborate across departments and enhance financial transparency.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough research and implement U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and other regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
• Manage accounting for intricate transactions, including revenue recognition, mergers and acquisitions, leases, and derivatives.
• Develop and update corporate accounting policies, ensuring consistent application across the organization.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including debt filings and other financial reports.
• Collaborate closely with legal teams, investor relations, and senior leadership on financial disclosures.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, managing the audit process to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Identify and execute process improvements to strengthen internal controls and audit effectiveness.
• Partner with FP& A, tax, legal, and business units to assess accounting impacts of strategic initiatives.
• Mentor and guide accounting team members, fostering growth and development.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is required.
• At least 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including work in a Big 4 public accounting firm.
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, revenue recognition, and consolidations.
• Proven experience within a global, multi-entity industrial or manufacturing organization is preferred.
• Expertise in SEC compliance and reporting, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to translate complex accounting concepts into actionable insights.
• Proficiency in SAP BPC, Hyperion, OneStream, and similar financial management tools.
