Ngā Kōrero mo tēnei tūranga / About the role
As a Director in our Tax & Enterprise team, you’ll provide advice and leadership across a range of tax matters - including corporate, international, M&A, compliance and strategy - depending on client needs and your expertise. You’ll support iconic New Zealand brands, global corporates, private businesses, entrepreneurs, and HNW individuals.
What you'll do:
Client leadership - Build trusted relationships as a senior advisor, identify client needs, and deliver tailored solutions. Serve as the primary point of contact on complex tax issues.
Delivery and growth - Lead multiple tax engagements, manage budgets, ensure timely and high-quality delivery, and identify opportunities to expand relationships.
Technical excellence - Provide expert advice across corporate, international, indirect tax, transfer pricing and M&A, while ensuring compliance with evolving legislation and regulatory requirements.
Leadership and team development - Mentor and grow a high-performing team of tax professionals, foster a collaborative culture, and contribute to PwC’s leadership development initiatives.
Strategy and market contribution - Shape the direction of the Tax & Enterprise team, contribute to PwC’s market approach, and identify and pursue new opportunities.
Risk management - Identify and mitigate tax-related risks for clients and the firm, ensuring compliance with PwC’s standards and policies.
Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience
10+ years in tax advisory with significant leadership experience.
CA (or equivalent) desirable.
Track record managing large portfolios and complex issues.
Excellent report writing, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Strong knowledge of NZ and international tax.
