Position Purpose:
In partnership with perioperative services director and leadership team facilitates the business aspects of perioperative departments and services, including financials and surgical business development and growth.
Performs analysis to maximize operational efficiencies and effectiveness to grow surgical volumes and ultimately improve the financial performance. Partners with key surgical physician groups to provide access, timely scheduling, efficient utilization and to identify new programs, and opportunities for growth.
What the Director Surgical Services Business Operations will do:
Works in tandem with the System Integration Leader of Perioperative Services and relevant Service Line Administrators to develop and support service line initiatives along with the development of the strategic plan.
In partnership with the Perioperative Director, and Senior Leadership, drives new programming and volume growth.
Plays a key role in advancing surgical acquisitions and integrations.
Ensures strategic alignment with joint ventures and operating agreements as it relates to surgical priorities.
Leads business case development and programming for capital needs in surgical services.
Partners with Perioperative Director to ensure most efficient utilization while ensuring acceptable surgeon access.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare profession or related field.
2-3 years advanced preparation in business and financial analysis required.
Project management skills including the ability to define program, project, or process objectives, identify stakeholders and their interests, plan steps, coordinate and allocate human, technological, and fiscal resources to accomplish goals and objectives in a resourceful yet timely manner.
Leadership skills including demonstrated willingness to pursue leadership roles with increasing levels of accountability comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching, teaching, and counseling skills, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others and to forge alliances and garner support.
