This position will serve as the Supply Chain leader for the LCS (Labware, Clinical and Storage) business, supporting a global scope. LCS is part of the Laboratory Plastics Essentials (LPE) Division.

How you will make an impact:
As the Director of Supply Chain for the LCS Business, you will be responsible for End-to-End Supply Chain management, leading the planning function globally, including production planning, detailed scheduling, materials planning, distribution requirement planning, manufacturing site’s warehousing and customer and channels supply chain collaboration. This position works closely with Product Management, Commercial, Procurement, Distribution & Logistics and Operations teams to provide excellent service to our customers and support revenue generation and profitability growth.

In this role, you will balance supply and demand, optimize inventory and drive productivity to ensure excellent customer experience at an optimal cost, using SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) process and cross functional collaboration, to deliver the annual business objectives. In addition, you will lead the development and deployment of the overall supply chain strategy, with accountability for year-over-year improvements in Customer Allegiance Score (CAS) for Order Fulfillment, Product availability (LIFR/OTIF/OTTP), Lead times and inventory days of supply (DOS).

What you will do:

•    Lead a team of Supply Chain Managers, Planners and warehouse professionals in global locations.
•    Implement the Supply Chain Strategy in support of the Business STRAP.
•    Lead the monthly Sales, Operations, and Inventory Planning process for LCS Supply Chains
•    Continuously monitor and optimize critical supply chain metrics to act as early indicators of

  performance e.g., inventory health, schedule adherence etc., in line with Business objectives.

•    Drive a standard inventory planning approach to achieve DOS inventory targets.
•    Work closely with the Procurement function to support Procurement strategy and material availability.
•    Work with IT and Data Analytics to identify and standardize around a core set of information sys tems solutions and data analytics platforms.
•    Work with the Distribution and Logistics team to drive end-to-end optimization and improved total cost  to serve.
•    Develop talent to continuously improve the supply chain function.
•    Closely partner with operations leadership to support achievement of Annual Operating Plans.
•    Apply continuous improvement tools and processes to boost performance.
•    Serve as a member of the LCS Business Leadership Team, supporting the development and

execution of business strategy, driving revenue generation and profitability improvement.

Travel expectations will be between 25-50%, depending upon business requirements. This will include both domestic and international travel.

Education:
A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, or other business management subject area or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Experience:
•    10+ years of relevant supply chain experience, with at least 7 years of people leadership and management experience. Specific experience in Distribution, Production and Materials Planning. 
 

Preferred qualifications include:
•    APICS certification (i.e. CPIM, CSCP).
•    Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt Certification.
•    Experience in GMP, regulated environment (Life Science, Pharma, Med Device, etc.).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
•  Strong leader with the ability to influence and lead a large, geographically diverse organization.

•  Clear understanding of the order-to-cash process in manufacturing businesses.
•  Knowledge of business systems and IT for leading complex supply chain  activities.
•  Excellent interpersonal competencies, both written and oral.
•  Proven track record with a continuous improvement methodology.
•  Strong problem-solving capabilities, with direct, applied experience in Supply Chain.
•   Ability to successfully create clear objectives and facilitate career planning for team members. •   Demonstrates the Thermo Fisher values – Integrity, Intensity, Involvement and Innovation.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $145,500.00–$218,000.00.
