Position is responsible for executive and operational leadership to develop and strengthens emerging Hospital networks on the western side of the state of Montana through facilitating strategic market growth and development, fostering community relations and service, and operational performance. Position is accountable to strengthen the health care delivery system by enhancing business operations, improving the quality of clinical care delivery through effectively leveraging the resources of Billings Clinic and driving efficiencies through oversight and collaboration. Position provides strategical oversight and as needed of regional physician branch clinics, health care management contracts, and new physician and facility affiliations and alliances. Position serves as content expert for strategy and clinical services for a potential Hospital based networks.
Essential Job Functions
•Advances the mission and vision of Billings Clinic by strengthening the healthcare delivery system, ensuring retention of appropriate care locally through effective business operations, and improving clinical quality of care delivery both locally and within the region.
• Provides leadership in implementing clinical business plans and operations, including development of short- and long-term plans to fully integrate new service lines and support provider practices through quality/patient safety, patient access, practice reporting, revenue analysis, and billing/coding documentation.
• Promotes strategic, sustainable outreach initiatives for physician specialties within regional communities in collaboration with outreach, telemedicine, and referral teams. Coordinates with healthcare providers and leadership to ensure continuity of goals and objectives, create synergies, and solve problems across service lines.
• Collaborates and consults with the Interim CPG Director on physician contracting, growth opportunities, recruiting, and service line development.
• Builds effective relationships with hospital system leaders and maintains community relationships to support a continuum of care. Serves as a liaison between all Billings Clinic programs and services, ensuring communication, integration, and coordination in response to evolving community and affiliate needs within the regional market.
• Serves as a liaison and channel of communication between all Billings Clinic programs and services. Participates in development of patient care delivery models and/or care programs, policies and procedures that describe how patient care needs and/or patient populations receiving care are assessed, evaluated, and met.
• Ensures the delivery of innovative, high-quality, and cost-efficient healthcare programs that support an integrated system of care and appeal to healthcare providers seeking clinical and business alliances.
• Provides consultation and direction related to strategic opportunities and participates in business reviews and strategic planning to support growth and innovation. Notifies partners of key business developments and assesses business risks using financial, statistical, and economic analysis.
• Exercises due diligence during contract development, negotiations, and compliance by consulting appropriate resources to minimize risk.
• Ensures compliance with governing regulations and accreditation standards by monitoring service delivery and working with Senior Leadership to implement necessary changes.
• Recommends, implements, and evaluates plans and systems that assure enough qualified and competent staff to provide care/services. Adheres to administrative policy/procedures relating to human resources management.
• Maintains a high level of satisfaction among Billings Clinic physicians, providers, and staff by fostering an environment conducive to individual and team productivity. Demonstrates and encourages open communication and teamwork, creating a shared commitment to organizational goals and quality outcomes.
• Grows and mentors future leaders of CPG, fostering leadership development across the service line.
• Maintains job-relevant competencies in organizational, departmental, and external environmental, employee, or patient safety standards.
• Acts as a customer and community advocate, demonstrating sensitivity to the ethical and legal considerations of healthcare practice.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Business or Healthcare Administration or related degree.
Preferred Graduate Degree Master degree in Business or Healthcare Administration or related degree.
Experience
Minimum of ten years of relevant experience, with a preference for direct experience with a variety of physician practice solutions, practice transformation, and program growth.
Certifications and Licenses
Current MT or WY Driver License or the ability to obtain one At hire Ability to be insured to operate organization vehicles.
