As a Director Engineering R&D here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in leading and managing the engineering function within the Water Metering Business. You will be responsible for providing strategic direction, technical leadership, and operational oversight to the engineering teams, driving innovation, ensuring product quality, and achieving business objectives.
You will report directly to our Sr. Director Engineering R&D and you’ll work out of our Dublin, Ireland location on a Hybrid work schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Provide strategic direction and leadership to the engineering function.
+ Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects related to water metering.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive innovation and achieve business objectives.
YOU MUST HAVE
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
+ 8+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, particularly in R&D; with the water metering or related industry experience being an additional positive. Additionally, experience with managing remote teams is paramount as the direct reports for this position will be located in the UK.
+ Strong technical expertise in engineering disciplines relevant to water metering and R&D. This includes the design and manufacture of PCBs, mechanical enclosures, RF radios (particularly CATM/NBIoT and LoRa as well as other sub-Ghz communications), and if possible ultrasonic technologies in high volume products.
+ Proven track record of successful project execution and delivery in a technology-driven environment. This includes the planning, design, development, testing, validation, certification, and assistance in high-volume production stand-up of electronic products.
+ Experience with engineering best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements; preferably specific to water metering.
