Director-Provider Compensation

General Summary

Assumes a lead role in professional compensation administration. Participates in salary surveys. Compiles and analyzes market data. Takes the lead in annual compensation modeling and communication. Oversees day-to-day compensation plan execution.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

Directs and assists department analysts in day-to-day compensation plan oversite. Oversees annual salary survey completion process. Participates in salary surveys, extracting and compiling pertinent data to complete survey questionnaires as necessary. Assumes a lead role in annual compensation budget planning. Compiles and analyzes data to develop budget load files. Oversees the annual compensation process. Initiates and maintains compensation modeling and accrual files. Oversees year end reconciliation processes. Researches and develops spreadsheets, documents, and facilitates automated solutions and processes. Assists in the creation, testing and annual maintenance of compensation templates. Works in collaboration with Business Managers and Service Line executives in supporting the provider compensation of those areas and facilitates communication with physicians and APPs. Serves as a liaison between the Provider Compensation department, Payroll and Human Resources. Partners with HR to manage APP compensation. HR manages: APP base compensation, pay ranges, benefits, and provides insight for extra shift compensation. Provider Compensation manages: APP compensation plan execution, model design, value payments and communication to APPs, budget validation, and collaboration with Service Line leadership

Common Expectations:

Recommends staffing levels, selects and assigns staff, evaluates performance, evaluates/tests competencies (as applicable), provides orientation, training and continuing education of staff, and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions. Continuously assesses and improves the work processes under their area of responsibility. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise. Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

Bachelors Degree Required Masters Degree Preferred

Work Experience:

5 years Progressive experience in health care accounting, finance, or human resources. Required
