JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the VMS Chief People Officer, the Director of Total Rewards & People Experience will serve as the Center of Excellence (COE) leader. This role will lead Compensation, Benefits, Rewards & Recognition, Talent Acquisition, and HR Operations across the VMS Co-Op, which comprises of about 250 employees and growing rapidly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Functional Leadership
+ Serve as a trusted advisor and partner to CPO, to elevate the People & Culture function and its delivery to the organization.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional leaders and across all employee levels to deliver best-in-class People programs and People & Culture experience.
COE Leadership
+ Bring expertise in the areas of Compensation, Benefits and Rewards, and serve as the strategic leader and advisor for Total Rewards .
+ Provide COE leadership to Talent Acquisition and HR Operations functions across the VMS Co-Op.
+ Develop and execute a comprehensive Total Rewards and People Experience strategy aligned with business goals and company values.
+ Lead, mentor, and develop a high- performing team .
Total Rewards (Compensation, Benefits, Rewards & Recognition)
+ Create and communicate a clear Compensation Philosophy for the organization.
+ Evaluate new salary benchmarking tools and update VMS compensation data to ensure accuracy and relevancy.
+ Design, implement, and continuously improve compensation structures and annual compensation programs.
+ Introduce Total Rewards statements and develop a rollout plan across the organization.
+ In partnership with Unilever Benefits leads, oversee benefits administration, ensuring offerings are competitive and support employee well-being.
Talent Acquisition
+ Partner with internal recruiter to enhance employer branding , to support organizational growth and future capability needs.
+ Bring market intelligence to ensure the organization remains competitive while attracting strong talent.
HR Operations
+ Partner with Operations lead to ensure delivery of seamless HR services, including systems, payroll and compliance, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement in all areas of people experience.
+ Actively support and champion BCorp initiatives with appropriate people data and operational matters.
CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED
+ 10+ years of experience in HR roles with increasing responsibility and leadership, with proven expertise in Compensation and Total Rewards.
+ Demonstrated expertise in compensation design, benefits administration, and HR systems.
+ COE leadership and collaboration with other HR disciplines like Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, and/ or People Experience .
+ Strong people leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
+ Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and hands-on levels—comfortable rolling up sleeves to execute , as well as setting vision and direction.
+ High integrity, transparency, team-oriented approach , and comfort with ambiguity and change.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE INTERVIEW PROCESS
+ Initial video screen with a member of our Talent team
+ Round 1: Conversation with the Hiring Manager + 1–2 conversations with other cross-functional team members
+ Round 2: 2–3 conversations with team or cross-functional Ollies
+ Final Round: Homework (presentation of answers to pre-shared questions)

The pay range for this position is $180 ,000 – 220,000 dependent on experience and location.
