Job Summary Job SummaryPOSITION TITLE: Director of the Inquiry & Innovation Program SUPERVISED BY: Assistant Principal for Academics FLSA STATUS:Part-Time EFFECTIVE DATE: August 1, 2026 COMPENSATION: $14,773-23,207 placement is based on years of service and education Position Summary The Director of the Innovation and Inquiry Program (i2) has primary responsibility for this academic and enrichment program aimed at developing students’ experience of science, technology, engineering, design and math as well as their leadership and collaboration capacities. The four-year i2 curriculum integrates with SHC’s Catholic, college preparatory course of studies, its mission of service leadership, and facilitates learning in and with rapidly-evolving digital resources. The directorship is a one-fifth position, and may be combined with other duties for a full-time position. This is an on campus position. Essential Duties, Roles and Responsibilities: Model for students the characteristics of a Lasallian Vincentian educator; Support SHC’s mission, philosophy and Integral Student Outcomes; Collaborates with the Assistant Principal for Academics to articulate the goals and expectations of the i2 program Collaborates with the Admissions Office and the Director of Studies to place interested, qualified students in i2. Initial requirements for admission to the program include: High academic achievement (typically 3.5 GPA or above) Exemplary standardized test scores (especially in the areas of math and science) Willingness to serve as models of inquiry and innovation for the entire SHC community SHC students may be invited into i2 at the end of their first year of studies provided that they meet the above criteria and with the approval of the Director. Requirements / QualificationsRequired Qualifications Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Science, Technology or related field; Demonstrated ability to inspire student learning and collaboration; Must be available to attend some night and weekends events as required by the position. Desired Qualifications Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Science, Technology or related degree Single-subject teaching credential, or work toward it Experience in a Catholic high school setting; Experience as a classroom teacher; experience in a STEM classroom preferred.
