Summary:

Participates in planning, policy development and priority setting. Ensures that surgical services and other assigned clinical areas have policies that are consistent with the overall goals of the health system. Ensures compliance in the provision of care to quality and safety standards. Maintains a competent workforce adhering to regulatory guidelines (financial, employment, AHCA/JCAHO) and established national standards of care. Collaborates with other directors, administrators, medical staff and other departments to provide and maintain optimal services in a cost effective manner. Promotes evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Required - Bachelors - Nursing; Or - Bachelors - Related Field; Preferred - Masters - Nursing; Preferred - Masters - Related Field

 

Credentials:

Required - Registered NursePreferred - CNOR (Surgical); Preferred - Nurse Specialist

 

Experience:

Management experience
