The Director of Strategy will serve as a key strategic leader supporting the Executive Vice President – Data & AI in driving Siemens’ cross-business AI agenda. This role will define and operationalize the strategic roadmap for industrial AI by translating vision into execution across product, platform, and GTM efforts. The initial focus will be on scaling foundational model capabilities and high-impact AI use cases within the Digital Industries division, with expansion across Siemens’ broader portfolio.
This individual will shape strategic planning processes, drive portfolio-level prioritization, and lead key initiatives that position Siemens as the category leader in “AI for the physical world.” The ideal candidate blends rigorous strategic thinking with operational drive, and brings experience navigating complex, cross-functional environments in the industrial or high-tech sector.

You’ll make an impact by:Strategy & Portfolio LeadershipDevelop and refine Siemens’ global industrial AI strategy in close partnership with the EVP of Data & AI.Lead strategic planning and roadmap development across platform, product, and research investments.Balance short-term business value and long-term innovation through structured portfolio management.Market Intelligence & Opportunity MappingConduct ongoing competitive and market landscaping to inform make/buy/partner decisions.Identify emerging technologies, partners, and use cases that extend Siemens’ leadership in industrial AI.Support ecosystem strategy across startups, academia, and technology alliances.Commercialization & GTMShape commercialization frameworks and monetization strategies for AI-native products and services.Partner with product, sales, and GTM teams to align on customer needs, packaging, and market entry plans.Contribute to the definition of value propositions and pricing strategies for AI-enabled offerings.Execution & Operating CadenceDesign and run operating mechanisms to track execution of strategic initiatives and KPIs across teams.Build internal alignment and drive decision-making across cross-functional stakeholders.Executive Support & CommunicationsPrepare executive briefings, board updates, and investor materials on AI progress and vision.Act as a thought partner to the EVP of Data & AI, supporting strategic narrative development and cross-org coordination.
You will win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic Qualifications:7+ years of experience in corporate strategy, product strategy, or innovation roles in industrial, high-tech, or AI-related businesses.Strong business acumen with technical fluency in AI/ML concepts, platforms, and industry use cases.Proven ability to lead cross-functional strategic planning and drive execution in complex organizations.Outstanding communication and storytelling skills with experience interfacing with senior leadership, partners, and customers.Preferred Qualifications:Ph.D., MBA or equivalent experience.

The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
