Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Architectural Oversight:
○ Define and maintain Cevego software architecture aligned with Radiology Software Architecture Board vision
○ Optimize development tools and processes across device and Class II application teams
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
○ Work with Radiology R&D leadership, Program Management Office, Data & Imaging teams, and external partners
• Technical Leadership:
○ Guide integration of advanced UI, microservices, connectivity, embedded systems, and workflow solutions
○ Ensure DevOps, CI/CD practices are integrated into architecture
• Strategic Planning:
○ Contribute to software technology roadmap and anticipate future capability needs
○ Develop external partnerships and align strategies with corporate goals
• Compliance & Quality:
○ Maintain adherence to regulatory standards and ensure clinically effective software products
As Director of SW Architecture – Cevego, you will lead the technical direction of the Cevego software development team globally. This role focuses on Software in a Medical Device (SiMD), Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), and AI applications. Acting as a technical leader, you will ensure architectural consistency, optimize development processes, and integrate advanced technologies across device and connectivity domains. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to strategic roadmaps, and build high-performing teams within an agile and compliant culture.

Skills and Requirements
Must-Haves
• Education:
○ Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science (required)
○ Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technology discipline (preferred)
• Experience:
○ Significant experience in medical device and embedded software development in a regulated environment
○ Familiarity with radiology workflows and standards (PACS, RIS, DICOM, FHIR)
• Technical Skills:
○ Deep understanding of software architecture, development processes, and compliance for medical devices
○ Preferred: Qt, C++, MongoDB, gRPC, YoctoOS, C, SafeRTOS
• Leadership & Collaboration:
○ Excellent leadership and motivational skills
○ Ability to build high-performing teams and enforce agile principles
• Regulatory Awareness:
Strong knowledge of medical device compliance standards and documentation requirements
