Director of Security

Phoenix Country Club is hiring for a Director of Secuity! This position ensures safety and security of members, guests and employees of facility.

Essential Duties:

Observes persons entering, exiting, or loitering in or around facilities and responds to security related complaints from residents, members, guests, and employees. Investigates accidents, thefts, property loss, and unlawful activities. Documents details and advises management.  Maintains logs and reports of all related activities. Provides and/or coordinate security coverage for special events programs. Enforces all rules and regulations set forth by facility. Identifies and correct any safety hazards. Ensures compliance with OSHA standards and enforce safety programs. Maintain records and auditing of issuance of keys. Implements policies and procedures for the Security department, including compliance of all company standards relating to quality of products and services. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Manages department members that may include but is not limited to: Security Officers. Assures that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate. Develops ongoing training programs. Monitors business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses. Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction. Communicates any changes or new policies and procedures to the department. Regular and reliable attendance. Conducts staff meetings with subordinates.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.    

Physical Demands:

Regularly stands, walks, talks and hears.  Regularly uses hands. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, pushes, pulls, reaches with arms and hands.  Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds. 

Environment/Noise:

Regularly works in outdoor weather conditions.  Noise level is moderate. 

Certificates/Licenses:

Driver’s License, CPR, First Aid Training, and Guard Card.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences        

Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English). Knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
