Director of Scheduling

Job Description
• Review baseline schedule submissions and prepare narrative reports
• Perform QA/QC on contractor schedule submittals for contract compliance
• Analyze critical path, cost loading, relationships, lags, constraints, and milestones
• Conduct schedule impact analysis for change orders and negotiations, producing detailed formal reports
• Perform Critical Path and Earned Value analyses
• Monitor project issues as they relate to schedules and advise the Project Team proactively
• Walk the field, track weekly and monthly progress, and report to project and senior management
• Interpret drawings, determine scope compliance, and evaluate compensability and concurrent delays
• Communicate schedule status, risks, and progress in weekly and other project meetings
• Review, evaluate, and approve or reject recovery schedules
• Prepare schedule reports as directed by management
• Lead program-level schedule QA/QC reviews and updates
• Mentor and provide guidance to project schedulers
Key Skills
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and workflows
• Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 and CPM scheduling software
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in critical path and earned value management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Leadership and communication skills with the ability to guide staff and influence cross-functional teams

Skills and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Construction Management, or related field
• 10+ years of progressive experience in construction scheduling on large, complex projects (equivalent education/experience considered)
• Professional certifications such as PSP, CST, or equivalent strongly preferred
• Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 and CPM scheduling tools
• DRMP certification preferred
