We’re hiring a Director of Sanitation and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. As the Director of Sanitation you will lead and manage sanitation operations across multiple service regions. This role is responsible for overseeing the cleaning, servicing, and readiness of all field-deployed assets—such as portable restrooms, handwashing stations, and holding tanks. The Director will ensure all sanitation activities meet strict health, safety, and environmental standards while driving operational efficiency, route performance, and customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities Direct and oversee regional sanitation operations across multiple branches and service areas. Ensure all equipment is cleaned, serviced, and deployed according to company standards and health regulations. Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cleaning, maintenance, waste disposal, and service routes. Lead, mentor, and develop branch managers, sales teams, and field personnel in sanitation best practices Manage and analyze the regional P&L for the Sanitation division, identifying areas for improvement, driving profitability, and ensuring financial targets are met. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence and profitability Ensure full compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulatory standards relating to trench safety and excavation support systems Build and maintain relationships with key customers, vendors, and industry stakeholders Provide input into pricing strategy, capital equipment planning, and resource allocation Stay current with industry trends, regulatory updates, and competitive landscape Why EquipmentShare?Because we do things differently — and we think you’ll feel it from day one. Experience managing field service teams, route optimization, and multi-site operations. Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 70%), including overnight stays and regional visits. Education and Experience A minimum of 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in sanitation, field services, or waste/environmental operations. Physical Requirements Able to lift up to 50lbs Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like to work safely at elevated heights Spend extended periods of time sitting, standing and walking throughout the workday Perform repetitive motions such as gripping, twisting, and turning when operating tools or performing technical tasksA Workplace For All
