Job Requirements

The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for leading the resort’s total commercial strategy, positioning the property as a premier luxury destination while driving revenue growth across group, transient, villa, F&B, and ancillary channels.


This role oversees Sales, Marketing, Digital Strategy, PR, and Revenue collaboration, ensuring cohesive brand positioning and strong commercial performance across all market segments. The DOSM acts as the architect of demand generation — aligning luxury brand identity, social-first marketing, group strategy, and high-end leisure penetration with financial targets and ownership expectations.

 




Work Experience
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to meet revenue targets for room sales, group bookings, and other hotel services.Lead and motivate the sales team, set clear goals, and monitor performance.Manage key client relationships, including corporate, group, and leisure accounts.Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets.Negotiate and close business deals with high-profile clients and agencies.Lead the development of strategic, revenue-driving marketing initiatives that enhance positioning and market visibility.Oversee and elevate all marketing initiatives with a focus on storytelling, digital strategy, and experience-driven promotion.Manage the hotel’s online presence, including the website, social media, and online travel agencies (OTAs).Analyze market trends and competitor activity to adjust marketing strategies accordingly.Ensure that branding and messaging are consistent across all channels and platforms.Prepare and manage the sales and marketing budget.Analyze sales data, track progress towards revenue goals, and provide regular reports to senior management.Forecast future business levels and adjust sales strategies as needed.Lead, train, and mentor the sales and marketing team, fostering a culture of high performance.Conduct regular performance reviews, set developmental goals, and provide guidance and support for career growth.Ensure the team is knowledgeable about the hotel's offerings and the competitive landscape.Work closely with other hotel departments, including operations, revenue management, and catering, to align sales efforts with overall business needs.Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to represent the hotel and expand its market presence.Other duties assigned by the Leader.

 

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

 

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

At least 5-7 years of experience in sales and marketing in the hospitality industry, with a proven track record in leadership and revenue generation.Demonstrated success in positioning a unique product, experience, or concept within a competitive market.Strong background in brand marketing, digital strategy, or experience-based promotion.Revenue strategy acumen

PREFERRED

Proven ability to build awareness and demand through innovative campaigns.Strong understanding of the hotel industry, sales techniques, and marketing trends.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Desert destination market knowledgeExperience with villa or residential-style inventory

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Strong working knowledge of hospitality sales, marketing, and revenue systems required, including:Delphi – for lead management, account tracking, and sales reportingSalesforce – for customer relationship management and pipeline visibilityHilton brand systems – including brand standards, marketing platforms, and reporting toolsPEP (Property Engagement Platform) – for operational and guest data alignmentPasskey – for group housing management and demand optimization
