D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Director of Sales and Marketing. The right candidate provides strategic leadership for all sales and marketing functions. This role drives revenue growth, strengthens brand presence, attracts and retains homebuyers, and ensures an exceptional customer experience. The Director partners with company leadership to align sales and marketing initiatives with corporate goals, market conditions, and community development strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Lead sales and marketing strategy to achieve revenue, market share, and profitability targets

Direct sales operations, monitor performance, and ensure consistent achievement of closings

Oversee community launches, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns to drive traffic and sales

Attract, engage, and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers to foster loyalty and referrals

Conduct market and competitive analysis to guide positioning, pricing, and product strategy

Partner with Construction, Operations, Finance, and Land teams to align business objectives and forecasts

Manage budgets, control costs, and maximize ROI on marketing spend

Provide accurate forecasts, reports, and insights to department and corporate leadership

Implement and manage multi-platform marketing to engage affiliates and drive attendance at events

Recruit, mentor, and develop sales and marketing teams, establishing high performance standards

Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company

Ability to travel overnight

Supervises 2 or more employees

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university

8–12 years sales/marketing leadership

Strong computer skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new programs/systems quickly is essential

Ability to build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.

Ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively to influence key decisions and negotiate successful outcomes

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications

Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision

The noise level is generally moderate
