We are now looking for a **Director of Sales** who will embody our _Anything but Standard_ ethos and lead the commercial strategy for our Ibiza flagship. **Your role** As our **Director of Sales** , you will lead the sales function for The Standard, Ibiza, developing and executing a strategic sales plan aligned with the hotel’s broader business objectives for guestrooms, groups, and events. Working closely with the Property Leadership Team and the Hyatt Sales Force, you will drive revenue growth across all market segments while positioning the hotel strongly within both local and international markets. You will oversee a small but high-performing sales team, coaching and developing them to achieve individual and collective targets. Your leadership will ensure that the team’s activities are focused, strategic, and commercially aligned, identifying new opportunities, building meaningful partnerships, and maximising existing account potential. In partnership with the Director of Revenue, you will play a key role in shaping the hotel’s annual revenue budget and commercial strategy. You will translate revenue goals into actionable sales plans, allocate clear objectives across your team, and drive performance to maximise market share, average rate, and RevPAR. This includes defining KPIs, monitoring pace and performance, and adapting strategies to ensure targets are consistently met. You will collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager to develop promotions and packages that support both transient and direct business, ensuring that campaigns are commercially sound, creatively relevant, and deliver measurable return on investment. You will also lead the hotel’s annual RFP process, manage key inbound markets, and strengthen relationships across consortia, MICE, corporate, leisure, and agency segments. As the brand continues to grow across Europe, you will contribute to refining our wider commercial strategy, driving key account development and positioning The Standard for continued international success. This is not a ‘Standard’ **Director of Sales** role. You will need commercial sharpness, strategic clarity, and the ability to remain calm and decisive in a fast-moving, seasonal environment. Ibiza moves quickly — and so will you. **Qualifications:** **Do you have what it takes to be our Director of Sales at The Standard, Ibiza?** We are looking for a confident, proactive self-starter with significant senior sales experience within Spain or the wider European hospitality market. In addition, the ideal candidate will… + Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior sales leadership role, ideally as Director of Sales within a luxury, lifestyle, or boutique hotel environment + Demonstrate strong experience across Consortia, Groups & Events, and MICE, including high-profile social events and large-scale parties + Have the ability to actively drive sales within the local Ibiza market, maximising group and event acquisition, particularly during low-occupancy or off-season periods + Possess a highly motivated and proactive management style, with proven experience leading teams, setting KPIs, and delivering commercial targets + Have a solid understanding of the Ibiza hotel market and current commercial trends + Demonstrate experience developing revenue budgets and hotel sales plans, combined with a creative approach to building bespoke commercial initiatives that generate measurable ROI + Maintain a strong and varied network of key business contacts across multiple market segments + Be a confident decision-maker and remain calm under pressure + Have experience producing monthly sales and business reports for both corporate office and ownership + Be highly proficient in Opera, Envision/Reserve, RFP platforms (Lanyon and HRS), and Microsoft Office + Experience within a culturally driven, design-led, or lifestyle brand would be highly advantageous.
