Delta Hotels Marriott Calgary South is looking for a visionary and results-driven Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the overall sales and marketing strategy for our hotel. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the hotel’s market presence, drive revenue growth, and set the strategic direction for sales and marketing initiatives while bringing creativity and innovation to every aspect of the role.
Key Responsibilities
•Develop and execute creative, data-driven sales and marketing strategies to maximize revenue across all market segments, including group, corporate, leisure, and transient business
•Lead, coach, and manage the Sales & Marketing team to achieve individual and collective performance goals
•Drive market share growth through proactive sales efforts, account management, and strategic partnerships
•Utilize hotel sales, marketing, and revenue systems to support forecasting, performance tracking, and strategic decision-making
•Oversee creative and innovative marketing initiatives, including digital marketing, branding, promotions, public relations, and social media, ensuring alignment with brand standards
•Analyze market trends, competitive intelligence, and performance data to inform pricing, positioning, and business decisions
•Partner closely with Revenue Management, Operations, and Executive Leadership to align sales and marketing strategies with overall business objectives
•Prepare and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and productivity reports with a strong focus on ROI and accountability
•Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and community functions as required

Qualifications & Experience
•Minimum 5 years of progressive hotel sales leadership experience within a branded or full-service hotel environment
•Experience using hotel sales, marketing, and revenue management systems to drive performance and forecasting
•Experience with Marriott systems such as CI/TY, GXP, MARSHA, One Yield, and Salesforce is considered an asset
•Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and market share goals
•Creative, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to turn ideas into measurable results
•Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
•Strategic mindset with solid analytical and financial acumen
•Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as business needs require
