A global media organization known for its innovative editorial structure and commitment to transparent, multi-perspective journalism is seeking a Director of Sales & Strategic Partnerships. This role is ideal for a seasoned business development leader with a consultative approach and a passion for building impactful partnerships.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead partnership strategy and development aligned with organizational goals.Conduct market and opportunity analysis to identify strategic fits.Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, product, operations) to execute partnership initiatives.Support contract development and negotiation, ensuring favorable and compliant terms.Define and monitor KPIs to assess partnership performance and provide insights to leadership.Maintain and grow relationships with existing partners while identifying new opportunities.Manage multiple complex, high-impact partnerships simultaneously.Represent the organization at industry events and forums to build relationships and enhance visibility.Required Qualifications10+ years of experience in business development or strategic partnerships.5+ years of leadership experience.Strong background in sales, business development, and digital marketing.Experience in journalism, media, digital publishing, or advertising.Proficiency in CRM software and sales management tools (e.g., Salesforce).Proven ability to conduct competitive analysis and meet sales goals.Preferred QualificationsTrack record of building and maintaining partnerships in licensing, sponsorships, affiliate programs, and joint ventures.Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage market research.Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as needed.Work EnvironmentBased in New York City with in-person attendance required.Fast-paced, global media organization with a growing international presence.Engages audiences through digital content, newsletters, and live events.Flexible hours and travel required.Interested candidates should apply directly via LinkedIn or reach out for more information.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
