Position Summary:

The Director of Sales, ParMed, is responsible for leading a sales force of ~100 members, who are responsible for individual account management, relationship development, business connectivity, and sales transactions of the customers in their portfolio. This leader will create, implement and drive the strategy for the sales team to meet sales objectives, grow business and support customer success.

This role will report to the Vice President of Sales.

Responsibilities:

Lead a team of 5 direct reports (Managers) with total org of ~100 membersLead and manage the sales team, inclusive of managing performance, coaching, mentoring, hiring and developmentEstablish clear sales strategies, performance goals and key performance indicators.Analyze sales metrics and market trends to identify growth opportunities and drive business decisionsBudgets, forecasts and tracks, and develops and implements strategies and tactics to achieve short- and long-term sales objectives that align with business strategy.Maintaining and strengthening our positive relationship with ISF VPs on creating and driving sales strategy for all of ParMedOverseeing ParMed budget-to-target for the business unit, creating each FY Sales incentive plans, quota, support our partnership with independent pharmacy buying groupsSupport and foster relationships with leadership, customers, manufacturers, ISF field team and other internal teamsPartner closely with cross functional teams to help drive results.Internally working with our Pharma Sr. Leadership (Pharma Segment EVP, SVPs, RVPs, and their leadership teams)

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred12+ years of sales experience, preferredSales leadership experience required, with experience leading other people leaders preferredKnowledge of pharmacy market preferredSuccessful track record of exceeding sales targets and growing market shareDeal modeling experienceUnderstanding of sale incentive plans from design to implementationProven leadership capabilities, including ability to manage diverse personalities/skill sets in a changing environmentStrong ability to develop relationships internally and externally at all levels up to and including C-SuiteExcellent planning, forecasting, financial and negotiation skillsStrong financial acumen skills i.e., sales compensation design, budget attainment, budget planning, deal structure / modelingDemonstrated matrix management skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams to drive resultsExecutive presence and solid presentation and communication capabilitiesAbility to work in office 2x per week if local to headquartersAbility to travel ~ 10%

Anticipated salary range: $137,300 - $211,200

The salary range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
