What will I be doing?
Director of Rooms serving Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi Responsible for delivering effortless luxury by ensuring exceptional levels of personalization and attention throughout the entire guest journey, from pre-arrival to post-departure. Places special emphasis on guest satisfaction, Hilton Honors members, VIP guests, and the property’s Top 100 valued guests.
Oversees and leads all aspects of Front Office, Housekeeping, Recreation, and Kids Club operations, ensuring seamless coordination and exceptional service delivery across departments.
Ensures the effective management of these areas through a strong focus on maximizing revenue and profitability, controlling operating costs, and consistently implementing and monitoring service standards and staff training initiatives.

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards;
· · Support the hotel’s strategic direction by maintaining strong working relationships with the General Manager, Directors, and senior leadership team.
· Oversee the overall operations of the Rooms Division, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Recreation, and Kids Club.
· Contribute actively to the development and execution of the hotel’s overall business strategy.
· Monitor guest satisfaction scores and analyze trends to drive continuous service improvement.
· Support key management initiatives such as capital projects, refurbishments, training, and service enhancement programs.
· Maintain effective communication and collaboration across all departments and with external partners.
· Ensure full compliance and strong performance of the Hilton Honors loyalty program.
· Conduct regular inspections of guest areas, back-of-house spaces, and operational facilities.
· Support the General Manager in maintaining strong relationships and communication with hotel ownership.
· Lead, motivate, and professionally manage all direct reports within the Rooms Division.
· Establish clear departmental objectives aligned with the property’s KPIs and Balanced Scorecard targets.
· Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching, feedback, and development guidance.
· Address performance issues effectively while identifying growth opportunities and career paths for team members.
· Lead and facilitate regular operations meetings with departmental leaders.
· Participate in forecasting meetings and support operational planning.
· Prepare and manage annual budgets covering revenue, manpower, capital expenditure, and operational costs.
· Review and approve operational expense accounts to ensure financial accountability.
· Ensure team members meet training requirements, including Hilton University usage and development programs.
· Promote a culture of professionalism, punctuality, grooming standards, and leadership by example.
Support recruitment, workforce planning, and team engagement to ensure service excellence and operational efficiency.

· Graduate degree in Hotel Management or a related field.
· Minimum 3 years of experience in an Operational Excellence or service industry management role.
· Professional certifications such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), or Excellence Award Assessor are an advantage.
· Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
· High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
· Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
· Exposure to multicultural work environments is an added advantage.
· Strong organizational, planning, and analytical abilities.
· Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
