Due to a recent promotion, Hilton Waikoloa Village is seeking a Director of Rooms to join our dynamic leadership team. This role will oversee Housekeeping, Front Office, and Guest Services, leading a union team in delivering exceptional hospitality across our breathtaking resort.
With 661 guest rooms set along the stunning Kohala Coast, Hilton Waikoloa Village is more than just a resort—it’s a destination in itself. The Director of Rooms will be instrumental in driving service excellence, operational success, and an unforgettable guest experience in one of Hilton’s most iconic Hawaii properties.
What will I be doing?
As Director of Rooms, you would be responsible for directing and administering the operations of key guest contact departments in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Direct and administer Rooms Division operations to include, but not limited to daily operations, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, inventory management and cost controls, merchandising and marketing, systems use management, budgeting and forecasting, department management and meeting participation and facilitationRespond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues and concerns in a timely, friendly and efficient mannerMonitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and rewardMonitor and assess service and satisfaction trends and evaluate and address issues, systems and procedures to make improvements accordinglyRecruit, interview and train team membersFacilitate and coordinate marketing initiatives, sales site visits and special requests from other departmentsThe annual salary range for this role is $165,000 - $190,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience
