**Description:**
**Scope and General Purpose of Job:**
The Director of Rooms is a key member of the hotel’s executive leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing the Rooms Division strategy to drive commercial performance, elevate the guest experience, strengthen brand positioning, and build a high-performing leadership culture. This role provides enterprise-level leadership across the guest journey, aligning Rooms operations, wellness touchpoints, service excellence, asset quality, and talent strategy with the hotel’s overall business objectives. In close partnership with Spa leadership, the role also supports the positioning of Spa as an integral part of the hotel’s luxury experience and revenue mix.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Define and lead the strategic direction of the Rooms Division in alignment with the hotel’s business plan, brand standards, and long-term positioning in the luxury hospitality market.
+ Serve as a member of the Leadership Committee, representing the Roomsfunctionin broader business planning, cross-functional decision-making, and hotel-wide performance discussions.
+ Drive sustainable business performance across key indicators including guest satisfaction, RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, profitability, productivity, and colleague engagement.
+ Partner closely with Commercial, Revenue, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, and other hotel leaders to optimize market mix, pricing strategy, asset utilization, and overall guest value proposition.
+ Partner with Spa leadership to align Rooms and wellness strategies, creating an integrated luxury guest journey and supporting the hotel’s broader positioning in wellness and lifestyle hospitality.
+ Contribute to the commercial and experiential strategy for Spa and wellness offerings, identifying opportunities to enhance ancillary revenue, guest loyalty, and brand differentiation.
+ Shape the long-term Rooms product and guest experience roadmap in partnership with Engineering, Ownership, and relevant operational leaders, including opportunities that strengthen wellness-led guest experiences.
+ Build organizational capability across the Rooms Division by developing strong department leaders, strengthening succession pipelines, and fostering a high-performance, inclusive, and accountable culture.
+ Lead transformation and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness, organizational agility, guest satisfaction, and long-term business performance.
**Qualifications:**
+ Significant senior leadership experience in Rooms Division management within a lifestyle or luxury or hotel environment.
+ Proven ability to lead at an executive level, balancing commercial performance, guest experience, organizational leadership, and operational excellence.
+ Strong business acumen, with demonstrated success in driving revenue performance, profitability, productivity, and quality outcomes.
+ Experience leading annual business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management within a complex hotel operation.
+ Strong strategic thinking capability, with the ability to translate business priorities into executable divisional strategies and measurable results.
+ Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional collaboration with Commercial, Finance, Engineering, and other executive stakeholders.
+ Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, inspire leadership teams, and drive alignment across multiple functions.
+ Track record of building high-performing teams, developing senior talent, and creating strong succession pipelines.
+ Strong analytical capability, with experience using performance data, guest insights, and business trends to guide decisions and improve outcomes.
+ Excellent communication, stakeholder management,and changeleadership skills.
+ High degree of professionalism, judgment, discretion, and executive maturity.
