The Director of Rooms is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Rooms Division, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high service and operational standards. This role includes managing the Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, Concierge, Laundry, Recreation/Spa, driving revenue opportunities, and fostering a culture of excellence in hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Experience Leadership

Champion the Park Hyatt brand ethos of understated luxury and personalized service.Oversee all aspects of the guest journey from pre-arrival to departure, ensuring seamless coordination between hotel and resort services.Lead service recovery for VIPs and high-profile guests, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and elegantly.Monitor guest satisfaction metrics (e.g., Medallia, LQA, Forbes) and continuously elevate service standards.

Operational Oversight

Manage daily operations of Front Office, Housekeeping, Concierge, Spa/Wellness, Laundry, and support integration with Golf Yacht Club guest services.Optimize workflows and SOPs to deliver consistency and operational efficiency.Lead departmental heads in maintaining brand standards across all guest-facing areas.Ensure adherence to all internal Hyatt policies, brand standards, SOPs, and audit requirements related to guest services, operations, and colleague conduct.

Financial Business Management

Develop and manage the Rooms Division’s annual budget and forecasts.Control labor costs, operating expenses, and capital improvements aligned with business strategy.Maximize revenue through room inventory management, upselling, and ancillary services.

Colleague Development Engagement

Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing Rooms team.Ensure all colleagues are trained in Forbes/Park Hyatt service standards and operational procedures.Drive Hyatt’s "Care for People" culture by supporting colleague well-being, recognition, and career development.

Strategic Leadership

Contribute to the hotel’s Executive Committee with strategic input on guest experience, service innovation, and operational planning.Collaborate with Sales, Events, FB, Engineering, and Golf operations to ensure a unified guest experience across the estate.Lead initiatives tied to Hyatt’s Ways of Working (WoW), DEI, and sustainability goals.

Health, Safety Compliance

Ensure full compliance with Dubai Municipality and UAE regulatory standards related to hygiene, health, and safety.Oversee emergency and crisis management procedures within the Rooms Division.

Master’s or executive education is a plus.Minimum 8–10 years of progressive rooms leadership experience in luxury hospitality, preferably in resort or mixed-use environments.Prior experience in leading large-scale operations with integrated wellness, leisure, and lifestyle components.Expertise in Opera PMS, HotSOS, and other Hyatt systems is preferred.Strong financial acumen with proven budget and cost control experience.High emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity, and guest-centric mindset.Fluent in English; knowledge of other EU languages.
