**Job Summary:**
The Director of Regulatory Compliance is a senior attorney responsible for developing, leading, and overseeing Compass Group North America’s regulatory, ethics, and corporate compliance programs. This strategic leader focuses on the organization’s obligations under evolving U.S. and international regulations — including emerging UK Corporate Governance Code requirements — while strengthening Compass Group’s culture of ethics, integrity, and accountability.
Serving as a trusted advisor to business and legal leaders, this role oversees ethics and integrity and code of conduct programs, internal investigations, compliance training, policy management and related processes. The Director of Regulatory Compliance plays a critical role in advancing transparency, consistency, and ethical conduct across all Compass Group operations.
**Responsibilities:**
• Develop, implement, and lead Compass Group North America’s regulatory and corporate compliance programs to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Oversee the Ethics & Integrity program, including the SpeakUp hotline, Code of Conduct, and investigation processes.
• Lead the development, implementation, and communication of compliance policies, including the Delegation of Authority and related governance structures.
• Direct internal investigations related to alleged misconduct, ensuring fair, consistent, and timely resolution.
• Design and deliver effective compliance and ethics training programs to reinforce Compass Group’s values and expectations at all levels of the organization.
• Collaborate with business, legal, and HR leaders to strengthen compliance culture, drive accountability, and promote transparency across all operations.
• Monitor and advise leadership on emerging regulatory developments and related corporate governance obligations.
• Manage and mentor compliance professionals, fostering a high-performing, integrity-driven team environment.
• Partner with Compass Group PLC (UK) counterparts to align compliance frameworks and reporting standards.
**Qualifications:**
• Licensed Attorney (JD required) with at least 10 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance, ethics, investigations, and corporate governance.
• Deep understanding of corporate compliance, regulatory frameworks, and governance principles.
• Proven experience leading or managing compliance programs and investigations in a complex, global or highly regulated organization.
• Exceptional communicator with sound legal judgment and the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
• Collaborative, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented — able to balance legal precision with business practicality.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and sustain a culture of ethics and compliance.
• Willing to travel from time to time and perform other duties as directed.
