About ATAC
Textron Systems - ATAC provides tactical flight training and adversary aggressor services for U.S. Navy, Marine and Air Force pilots. ATAC operates simultaneously across eight sites and two continents and comprises the world’s largest outsourced civilian, tactical airborne training organization and proudly provides the highest quality live training to Squadrons, Air Wings, and Battle Groups.
Summary:
The Director of Quality and Logistics Support (DQLS) at ATAC is a leadership role responsible for the oversight and evaluation of the company’s internal processes and procedures, ensuring safety, effectiveness, and compliance with both external government and internal Textron requirements. Reporting to the Vice President of Special Missions, the DQLS serves as the ATAC lead for adherence and ethical governance across all company operations, bridging the interface between ATAC and government contracts. This role establishes a framework for organizational safety, accuracy, procedural adherence, and quality control while driving continuous process improvement and fostering a culture of compliance organization wide.
Responsibilities:
- Inspection and Audit Infrastructure
Establish and maintain inspection and audit requirements across all sites.Generate trend analyses, track action items, and report findings.Manage contract risk-based compliance programs in accordance with Textron guidance and audit programs aligned with ATAC and government objectives.- Execution
Act as the ATAC contact for contract audits and inspections.Oversee regulatory matters in accordance with Textron guidance related to quality, imports/exports (ITAR), procurement, and ordnance safety standards.
- Internal Auditing
Conduct internal audits to assess vulnerabilities, evaluate controls, and ensure adherence to Textron, government, and contract requirements.Identify internal ATAC compliance risks and implement corrective measures in accordance with Textron and contract requirements.- Policy Development
Enforce policies and documentation standards to meet contract and regulatory requirements.Conduct internal audits aligned with Textron guidance and AS9100 rev D standards and oversee root cause analysis and corrective actions through QT9.- Vendor Quality Assurance
Audit subcontractors and monitor vendors for procedural and quality compliance and standards in accordance with Textron guidance.- Training
Promote compliance training programs in accordance with Textron.Oversee Quality Deficiency Reporting and process improvement initiatives through QT9.- Reporting
Prepare and deliver periodic audit findings to senior leadership.- Import/Export Compliance (ITAR)
Ensure ATAC policies align with Textron Corporate Import/Export compliance standards.Oversee ATAC import/export activities for Textron adherence and efficiency.- Ordnance oversight
Manage ordnance safety, training, and oversight.Monitor supply chain invoicing for compliance and cost efficiency.- Support
Provide compliance support to functions across all company locations.FAA liaison and regulatory oversight.Aircraft Maintenance Management system oversight

Skills and experience:
This role requires proactive leadership and effective communication with cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership. Candidates must possess an in-depth understanding of safety, compliance, quality assurance standards (e.g., AS9100), and regulatory requirements such as ITAR.
o Minimum 5 years of quality assurance/control experience
o Minimum 8 years if aviation experience.
o BS/BA Degree desired
o AP License desired
o Must Maintain a DOD security Clearance
o Quality auditing and compliance experience preferred
o Process Improvement certification, education, and/or experience desired.
