Director of Product Management, Audience Development

Key Responsibilities 

Lead the audience development roadmap and strategy for Hearst Consumer Media at the enterprise level. Leverage AI and machine learning tools to develop personas and audience segmentation for key use cases. Collaborate with marketing, data science, and engineering teams to develop audience products that drive business results. Build frameworks to develop, test, and measure the impact of Hearst audience development initiatives. Work with engineering to manage execution, including providing guidance on planning, scoping, and execution details. Assess, integrate, and manage the technology and vendors required to develop and activate Hearst audience products. Project manage the deployment and activation of data technology solutions across systems, suppliers, and activation partners. Help define corporate data product roadmap across all of Hearst Consumer Media. Communicate effectively with stakeholders across Hearst and manage stakeholder business value across multiple business units. 

Qualifications

 

At least 8-10 years of experience in product management, product development, or analytics including consumer data, digital media, marketing technology, or ad tech. Proven baseline of analytics and product management skills, inclusive of requirements gathering, product specification, prioritization, and execution. Familiarity with publisher, advertiser, and marketer consumer data products. Experience developing audiences and personas for marketing or advertising use cases. Bachelor's degree; graduate degree preferred. Preferred: Experience with data clean rooms, CDPs, DMPs and other digital media SaaS solutions.

In accordance with applicable law, Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in New York City. The reasonable estimate, if hired in New York City, is $215,000 to $250,000. Please note this information is specific to those hired in New York City. If this role is open to candidates outside of New York City, the salary range would be aligned to that specific location. A final decision on the successful candidate’s starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education.
