Plus, all the dining and nightlife you could ask for, built right in. **Position Summary** The Director of Operations is responsible for driving hotel profitability through revenue growth, cost control, guest satisfaction, and employee development while maintaining the integrity of hotel operations and brand standards. **Key Responsibilities** · Tour operating departments daily and implement adjustments through department heads. · Ensure consistent delivery of brand standards and service culture across all departments. · Monitor operational performance, guest feedback, and financial metrics to drive continuous improvement. · Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the physical property through regular inspections and preventive maintenance programs. · Be present in public areas during peak times to engage with guests and provide assistance as needed. · Meet all financial review deadlines and corporate program requirements. · Ensure departmental productivity aligns with budgeted targets. · Oversee invoice processing and ensure timely submission of financial documents according to the monthly accounting calendar. · Partner with the Revenue Director to review forecasts and align staffing with projected demand. · Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing management team. · Conduct weekly staff meetings and training sessions for department managers. · Recruit, interview, coach, counsel, and discipline management personnel according to company SOPs. · Support management trainee development and succession planning. · Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and inclusion. · Partner with Sales & Marketing, Finance, and Human Resources to support business objectives. · Collaborate with outsourced F&B partners to coordinate events and operational needs. · Lead short- and long-term planning for Rooms operations (front and back of house). · Inspect guest rooms regularly (weekly at a minimum) with Housekeeping and Engineering leadership. · Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards. · Oversee hotel safe procedures, security processes, and monthly audits. · Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager. **How We Care for Our People** Our purpose sets us apart—to care for people so they can be their best. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications. **Qualifications:** · At least 5–6 years of progressive hotel leadership experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. · NYC union experience preferred. · Must be available to work weekends · Experience working within a lifestyle hotel environment with nightlife operations preferred. · Hyatt experience preferred and Opera Cloud experience preferred. · Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and guests. · Must demonstrate strong listening skills and the ability to understand and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests. · Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines. · Must approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner. · Must attend all required hotel meetings and training sessions. · Must participate in Manager-on-Duty (M.O.D.) coverage as required. · Must maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards and scheduling needs. · Must maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming. · Must comply with hotel standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations. · Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving issues as necessary. · Must be able to understand and evaluate complex operational and financial information from multiple sources. · Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. **Primary Location:** US-NY-New York City **Organization:** Dream Downtown **Pay Basis:** Yearly **Job Level:** Full-time **Job:** Hotel Operations **Req ID:** NEW015032 Hyatt is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
