We are seeking a dynamic operational leader who honors traditions while driving continuous improvement and modern luxury standards. **Position Summary** The Director of Operations is the strategic and hands-on leader overseeing day-to-day hotel operations, with a strong emphasis on Rooms Division performance. This role drives operational excellence across Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services and also oversees the hotels Banquet operation, while partnering closely with the 3rd party Food & Beverage operator running the venues, to ensure seamless guest experiences throughout the property. The ideal candidate pairs deep luxury rooms expertise with a solid understanding of F&B service flow of event execution, and cross-departmental collaboration, a passion for delivering elevated personalized service, and the ability to unify teams to achieve exceptional business results. **Key Responsibilities** **Operational Leadership** + Lead and oversee the hotel operation departments, ensuring flawless execution of luxury service standards across Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, Concierge and Banquet operations. + Collaborate with 3 rd party F&B operator to ensure alignment, consistency, and cohesive guest journeys between rooms, dining, and events. + Champion The Driskill’s brand, history, and culture by modeling world-class hospitality and care-driven leadership. + Drive operational innovation through continuous improvement, test-and-learn approaches, and adoption of agile ways of working. **Guest Experience Excellence** + Elevate guest satisfaction by anticipating needs, personalizing service moments, and resolving issues with speed, empathy, and elegance. + Maintain deep awareness of luxury guest expectations, leveraging trends, analytics, and feedback to shape decisions. + Foster cross-departmental communication to eliminate silos and ensure seamless service delivery. **People & Culture** + Develop, mentor, and inspire department leaders and frontline colleagues—cultivating an environment where leadership is shared and talent thrives. + Promote a growth mindset, empowering teams to innovate, experiment, and adapt quickly. + Lead with care by fostering inclusion, recognition, accountability, and professional development for all colleagues. **Financial & Business Performance** + Partner with the General Manager and Finance to manage departmental budgets, labor plans, and operating expenses. + Identify opportunities to enhance revenue, reduce waste, and improve productivity without sacrificing service excellence. + Monitor operational KPIs, guest insight data, and market trends to inform business decisions. **Safety, Quality & Brand Standards** + Ensure all areas operate with uncompromising attention to safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance. + Maintain robust quality assurance processes aligned with Hyatt’s luxury standards. + Lead property readiness for inspections, audits, and brand evaluations. **Why Join the Driskill** + Play a pivotal leadership role at one of America’s most storied luxury hotels. + Work within a culture rooted in care, growth, and world-class hospitality. + Lead teams dedicated to preserving and elevating an iconic guest experience. **Qualifications:** ü 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in luxury hospitality, with deep Rooms Division expertise required. ü Experience overseeing Banquets operations or large-scale event service strongly preferred. ü Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and cultivate a luxury service culture. ü Strong business acumen and analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. ü Experience in historic or heritage luxury properties is a plus. **Primary Location:** US-TX-Austin **Organization:** The Driskill **Pay Basis:** Yearly **Job Level:** Full-time **Job:** Hotel Operations **Req ID:** AUS010005 Hyatt is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
