The highest authority in the plant responsible for the daily operations, efficiency, safety, and quality.As Director of Operations, you will lead our manufacturing facility with a balance of people-first leadership and strategic business acumen. You will oversee a $15-20M industrial manufacturing operation specializing in filtration products, with responsibility for planning and directing operational departments to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved and continuously improved. The ideal candidate demonstrates a sense of urgency, fosters a culture of employee development and continuous improvement, and creates competitive advantage through operational excellence.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety & Compliance
Champion workplace safety, maintaining high levels of safety awareness and cleanliness throughout the facilityEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, EEO regulations and other applicable lawsMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient manufacturing environmentQuality & Production Excellence
Drive a culture of quality through all manufacturing processesImplement and maintain World Class / Lean Manufacturing methodologies with measurable, documented resultsAnalyze sales history and projections to optimize inventory, equipment utilization, and staffing levelsEnsure on-time delivery while minimizing inventory costsReduce product costs through innovative manufacturing processesEstablish realistic lead times for products in collaboration with Sales and MarketingPeople Leadership
Build and develop a high-performing, engaged team through mentorship, training, and regular performance feedbackFoster an employee-oriented culture that also drives business resultsCoordinate cross-training programs to ensure maximum operational flexibilityMaintain low employee turnover through effective leadership practicesProvide guidance to supervisory personnel in employee development and conflict resolutionStrategic Business Management

Partner closely with Engineering, Quality, and R&D to implement process improvementsCollaborate with Supply Chain to optimize inventory levels and vendor relationshipsWork with Customer Service to ensure customer satisfaction through timely deliverySupport new product development initiatives and manufacturing process improvementsMaintain open communication with all departments to ensure alignment with business objectivesKEY RELATIONSHIPS:

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business Management (MBA preferred)10+ years of manufacturing management experience in industrial manufacturingDemonstrated experience managing a $15-20M+ manufacturing operationBackground in filtration manufacturing highly desired; experience with metal fabrication a significant plusTechnical Knowledge
Expert knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement toolsStrong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes, especially in filtrationComprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements for manufacturing operationsExperience with ERP systems and manufacturing technology solutionsWorking knowledge of commercial agreements and contract managementLeadership Qualities
