Job DescriptionAllied Universal® is hiring a Director of Operations, Government Services. The Director of Operations is responsible for ensuring compliance with all contractual, regulatory, and corporate requirements while also providing operational support across Allied Universal’s State and Local Government portfolio. The Director of Operations integrates compliance oversight with operational leadership to strengthen client relationships, enhance service delivery, and support business growth in diverse environments including aviation, maritime, transit, and municipal sites. The Director will serve as a liaison for branch/regional operations with contracting authorities and client representatives and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational Support and Leadership
Partner with operations teams to ensure successful service delivery, contract performance, and financial outcomesSupport regional and local leaders by providing operational guidance, regulatory interpretations, and contract-specific solutionsServe as a mentor to program leadership teams, fostering professional growth, leadership development, and knowledge transfer across the organizationAssist with transitions, training development, and quality assurance to ensure operational readiness and complianceRespond to and support management of critical incidents at client locations, ensuring compliance and operational continuityClient and Stakeholder Engagement
Act as liaison with contracting authorities, client representatives, and internal leadershipProvide operational and compliance updates to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountabilityParticipate in industry specific organizations to expand industry leadershipSupport business development efforts through compliance guidance, operational insight, and proposal contributionsContract Compliance
Oversee contractual and corporate compliance for key state and local government contractsEstablish and maintain systems for compliance tracking, audits, reporting, and subcontractor oversightCreate and maintain repositories of contract files and compliance recordsContinuous Improvement
Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements that strengthen both compliance and operational performanceSupport audits, inspections, and after-action reviews to ensure lessons learned are applied across the portfolioQUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
Must possess one of the following:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or related fieldAssociate’s degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or related field with a minimum of five (5) years of personnel and program management experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of seven (7) years of personnel and program management experienceCurrent driver’s license if driving a company vehicle, or personal vehicle in the course of conducting business (e.g., client visits, attending networking events)Minimum three (3) years of personnel and program management experienceMinimum three (3) years of experience within military, law enforcement or security fieldsGovernment contracting knowledge, including procurement rules, auditioning requirements, and contract administration at state, local, or federal levelsDemonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlinesMust be highly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technologyAble to use good independent judgment and discretionStrong interpersonal skills with ability to influence, negotiate, and build operational and compliance partnershipsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
Prior experience in state/local government contracting for aviation, maritime, or transit sectorsProfessional certifications (ACE, ASC, FSO, CSO, CPP)Active or prior security clearanceFamiliarity with Allied Universal® product lines and servicesAbility to travel up to 60% to client locations and Allied Universal® officesActive participation in relevant professional organizationsCommitment to ethical practices, confidentiality, and regulatory complianceCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Pay Rate:$90,000-$110,000 per yearMedical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insuranceEligibilty for our retirement plansEight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal daysVacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly. Unused vacation is only paid out where required by law.Bonus
